A version control system is essential to keep track of code changes, and provide a repeatable, reversible process for applying those changes to development, staging and production websites. At DTEK, we used Subversion (svn) for years, but recently made the change to Git. I won't get too deep into the reasons why, but the main win for us is the fast and simple branching; our workflow seems to be less "work" and more "flow" now that we're using git. ;-)

The New dtek.net, Part 1: Drupal 7, Git, and Drush

We have a new web site! It's running Drupal 7!

We've been talking about it for years, and we're proud of the new dtek.net, released just in time for DrupalCon in Chicago.  Our initial push included a brand refresh and the basic site build: migrating to Drupal 7 from WordPress, architecting and developing the new site. The next step will be to draw out the new brand into a more fully-realized business identity and Drupal 7 theme for the web site.

It's launch day for our project, so as always thanks, family, for your patience and support! Returning to my normal self shortly :) 1 hour 12 min ago
Unfortunately, but hilariously, @zefrank made me spray my chili all over my coworkers in a fit of laughter at lunch today 15 hours 26 min ago

RT @trevortimm: Huge. @CloudFlare turning on HTTPS for all its customers. 2 million sites will be encrypted by the end of the day. https://… 2 days 4 hours ago
@Bjoran_Identity yeah I know, right? Apparently a QA team, too 5 days 2 hours ago

I particularly appreciated the clear contract that was provided prior to the project start and the payment breakdown which enabled me to plan and stay within my budget.
