Web Strategy for Progressive Causes and Big Ideas
We've taken on a few new Drupal-based web sites lately, each with its own unique set of considerations and challenges. Fun stuff, and a full workload... Enter, Benj Fredrick!
I'm thrilled to be back in Seattle. (The Pacific Northwest is the best place to be in the late summer!) There are many stories to tell about the move out here from Brooklyn, but one particular bright spot has been my new office environment.
Well it's the end of an era as we pack up the office here in Brooklyn!
The move will bring a lot of changes for sure, but I'm also excited about many things that will stay the same: I look forward to continuing to work with colleagues here in New York and elsewhere (more news on that front coming soon!), continuing Dtek's tight partnership with Bad Feather, and continuing to share ideas and inspiration with The Media Spot.
At the end of May we launched the Enhancement Courses web site for Editure, the sister site of Advancement Courses for Teachers (ACT), that also provides professional development and career advancement courses for educators.
Two female friends and colleagues of ours have been interviewed recently in the high-profile Lullabot "Drupal Voices" podcast series:
Greg and I have been working hard with Editure (parent company of AUSSIE) on a couple of new web sites. Last week, we launched the new Advancement Courses for Teachers (ACT) web site at www.actprogram.info.
I've been friends with filmmakers Jason and Leigh Morfoot (aka Kinobserver) since before Dtek was a twinkle in my eye :)
We're very excited to have just helped the International Women's Health Coalition launch their Young Visionaries campaign!
We just launched threeintentions.com, a web site that will build a community around the idea of the mind / body / spirit connection. The site provides related resources and represents teachers working in the field.
It's already the 11th, but happy 2010! The new year is an obvious opportunity to reflect on what's passed, and plan for the future. Truthfully, though, an exciting period of review and growth started a few months ago for Dtek.
