A New Web Site for The Media Spot!

August 28th, 2006 by Andy

themediaspot.orgThe Media Spot has been working hard all summer, and we’re ready to show the educational community what our full-blown media eduction program looks like — starting with the launch of a new TMS website!

The new site has blogs of its own, and most TMS news will be published there. So rather than repeating ourselves, head on over to themediaspot.org and read about the new site and the projects we’ve got in the works.

It’s worth mentioning again, though, that the site is built using the excellent Drupal content management framework. This gives us some serious publishing and distribution power under the hood, as well as lots of bells and whistles. So three cheers for the Drupal community. And thank you, friends of Dtek and TMS, for helping us usher in a new era for The Media Spot!

Likeness to Lily: Site Updates

dear ltl imageWe recently helped another favorite Dtek client, Likeness to Lily, add more style and substance to their web site. LTL built on their aesthetic theme by incorporating graphic elements inspired by postcards from the 1930s that were inherited by Lily singer/songwriter Susan Oetgen.

We also added their debut album, Solitude’s Dollhouse, to the site, including lyrics, mp3s, and a link to buy the album from their music page.

GLSA Childcare Logo & Web Site

December 7th, 2005 by Andy

GLSA Web Site

We just developed a colorful logo and web site for Green Lake School-Age Care Program, an action-packed before and after school childcare program in Seattle.

We provided multiple versions of the logo to be used across digital and print media, and other GLSA promotional items like T-shirts. The web site is a playful, informative brochure for GLSA, including program details and registration forms.

The site also features some slick code behind the scenes: semantic, accessible, and easy for GLSA to understand. And of course, we met with GLSA to help them get familiar with their new site so they can handle their own site maintenance. Have a look at greenlakechildcare.org.
