News Flash 8 is dedicated to a couple of Joes
Artists, “artivists”, radiation oncologists, and third graders — we’ve worked with a diverse group of clients and partners over the past six months. And you know something? — we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Behind the scenes, we’ve incorporated the public service side of our business. With our onging work in public schools and recent action research, we’re taking our media education work to the next level. Dtek’s The Media Spot is all grown up: introducing The Media Spot, LLC!
We have more exciting projects in the shop, and Dtek Summit 7 in Baltimore is around the corner. So read through the News Flash, and let us know what you think!

Happy 2005 to the Dtek extended community!
We’ve been working with some tip-top clients of late: a Seattle-based photographer and creative writer, a dynamic youth organization in Brooklyn, a new Brooklyn-based band, and a state-wide educational non-profit organization in New York.
In the shop, we have work lined-up for more independent enterprises and a massive research & development project for The Media Spot, Dtek’s media education organization.
Pick an article from the left for more information. Enjoy!

The mission of Seattle’s World Words and Images is to “communicate global understanding and awareness through the beauty of writing and photography”.
Dtek helped WWI create its online and graphic identity by designing a logo and business cards, and building a web site. The web site is powered by a database of WWI’s photos, and features an open-source dropdown menu system developed for the project by Dtek partner Daniel Gillmor.
