Announcing the new DTEK LLC

Happy New Year from the newly-formed DTEK LLC!

We're proud to announce that as of January 1, DTEK LLC is now a limited liability company. While largely behind the scenes, these changes are the culmination of years of hard work and a big business development push in 2011, and represent the next step in our growth as a firm.

I started Dtek Digital Media with Rhys Daunic twelve years ago, and partnered with Heather Thomason and her design firm Bad Feather for many years. I've worked with many other great folks over the years including Greg Lyle on the systems administration and development side, and Kristen Bakken and Jen Thomas on the graphic design side.

In 2010 Benj Fredrick started writing code with me, quickly proved to be a rock-solid developer, and has since become an integral part of the company. Then last year, Amanda Richardson came on board as a project manager and, rockstar that she is, quickly grew her role to take on the entire operations side of the company. By the end of the year, we'd agreed to have her become a full business partner. And this year, we're adding fantastic graphic designer Erik Fadiman to the mix (more on that coming soon!). We also continue to be supported by many wonderful people like fabulous bookkeeper Chelsea McClain and intern extraordinaire Ryan Anderson. Our new firm has taken shape, and we're busting out of the gates!

In 2011 we continued to improve many aspects of how we operate as a company, including our communication channels and measurable accountability and availability to clients, on top of the integrity and reliability they'd come to expect. We launched a new public website, and got our issue tracker firing on all cylinders, with hundreds of tickets filed and resolved. We raised the bar on the value we deliver with every client engagement.

As part of these changes, we are raising our rates for the first time in two years, effective January 1. Existing contracts will of course not be affected, and during this month we're happy to renew contracts at existing rates. Get in touch to discuss renewal or ask us any questions.

The new DTEK LLC will continue to celebrate and grow our existing client relationships, as well as seek out and foster new ones. Our clients do great work as educators, social service providers, advocates, and policy makers, whether as solopreneurs, non-profit organizations, or for-profit firms. We support them with a full range of Internet services including graphic design, development, infrastructure, social network and third-party service integration, and general Internet strategy. It's a blast! We're excited to be stepping forward to continue this fun and fulfilling journey in 2012 and beyond.
