About Dtek

We are media enthusiasts who believe in the democratizing potential of the Internet and digital technologies. Principally, Dtek is Andy Hieb and Rhys Daunic -- college friends from Washington University in St. Louis who co-founded Dtek in 2000 to help "the little guy" benefit from these emerging media.

We created Dtek together in Atlanta, then developed the business virtually from Seattle and Brooklyn for 8 years until reuniting at our new office in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn.

The Dtek community includes other like-minded individuals and organizations such as: Bad Feather, our graphic design and web development partners; The Media Spot, our media literacy education initiative; and Dtek Industries, our salon and gallery.
